Splicing Socks

Our splicing socks are perfect for stringing replacement wire and cable on equipment and in drilling and rigging systems.

The existing cable can be used as the pull wire to string the replacement cable. The open-ended sock is ideal when torsion forces are not an issue. Where torsion is present, swivel link socks can be supplied with differently sized socks for each side if required. For heavier duty applications (not overhead stringing), we offer the rotating barrel sock with a barrel that rotates when tension is lowered to release built up torsion. Note that the barrel ceases to rotate as load increases.

N.B. These socks are not recommended for use in overhead stringing applications.
